Motorola could be set to launch a premium Motorola Edge 60 Stylus smartphone, and it might just undercut the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
According to reliable tipster Evan Blass (aka evleaks), Motorola is working on a new smartphone called the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus.
“Motorola Edge 60 Stylus sounds interesting, no?” reads the leaker’s tweet. There’s no additional information provided, but we can read a lot into that name, as well as the image that Blass provides.
What could the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus entail?
By simply naming the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus, we can get a pretty clear idea that we’re in for an alternative to Samsung’s S Pen-packing Ultra family – something that hasn’t existed for a very long time.
Motorola has launched phones with styluses before, but they’ve always been cheaper devices such as the Moto G Pro (see title image). Then, a couple of years ago, the Motorola Edge+ (2022) launched with stylus support, but no integrated scribbling solution.
The below image indicates that a stylus is going to come as part of the package, slotting into the bottom right edge of the phone.
What’s more, its status as an Edge 60 device tells us that it’s going to be a mid-range phone at the very least. Last year’s Motorola Edge 50 family ranged from the £350 Motorola Edge 50 Fusion to the £850 Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, via the £400 Motorola Edge 50 Neo.

Motorola Edge 60 range details
Separate leaks from 91mobiles suggest that this year there’ll be a plain Motorola Edge 60 in the line-up, which looks set to take the place of the Motorola Edge 50 Neo right in the middle of the pack.
The other two phones in that range will apparently be the Motorola Edge 60 Pro, which at €600 would be cheaper than the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, and the entry-level Motorola Edge 60 Fusion.
It would be nice to think that a Motorola Edge 60 Stylus could take its place as a range-topping Ultra equivalent, with top-end specifications and an integrated stylus.
If there’s ever been a time to swoop in and steal the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s lunch, it’s this year. We called it “Boring but brilliant” in our review, so there’s definitely space for an alternative.
Alternatively, a classy mid-ranger with super-clean software and extra scribbling facilities sounds pretty great too. Watch this space.
