Since last week, rumours have been circulating about a new Samsung phone that might be part of the Galaxy S25 series.
Sites including Android Authority are reporting on the Galaxy S25 Slim, which will apparently be a thinner version of the S25 with a very powerful camera. Leaker Ice Universe says it’ll have an ‘Ultra’ camera, suggesting a 200Mp lens like the S24 Ultra.
Now, an official GSMA entry for the slim version has also emerged, which seems to confirm the rumour. The S25 Slim is listed with the model number SM-S937 and is expected to be released next year, joining the regular Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra.
However, leaker Max Jambor reports that it won’t be launching at the same time as those phones:
Given this is a new phone, it’s impossible to predict when the S25 Slim might launch. One possibility is alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, which are likely to debut in July or August.
Unfortunately, no other information about the S25 Slim is available at this stage. However, it is assumed that the model will have a 200Mp main camera, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.
New colours for the S25 series
There is also new information on the colours that will be added to the S25 series. According to analyst Ross Young on X/Twitter, some of these will be available in “limited quantities”. He named the following:
- S25 and S25+: Coral Red, Pink Gold, Blue/Black
- S25 Ultra: Titanium Blue/Black, Titanium Jade Green, Titanium Pink Gold
Young previously found out that the Galaxy S25 will be available in the colours Moon Night Blue, Silver Shadow, Sparkling Blue and Sparkling Green. Midnight Black will apparently be added to the Galaxy S25 Plus, while the S25 Ultra is set to come in various metallic colours.
It is expected that some of these colour variants will be available exclusively in Samsung’s online shop, as was the case for the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra.
