After releasing five new phones in 2024, it’s pretty clear that Google is done for the year. But one of its expected 2025 has already surfaced online.
Leaker ‘fenibook’ has posted two images of what they say is the upcoming Pixel 9a on X (formerly Twitter).
As you can see, they show the front and back of the phone, with the latter offering a look at the updated camera module. Just like its predecessor, the Pixel 8a, the phone has two cameras on the back and a single selfie camera on the front.
A previous Android Headlines report suggested the 9a will feature 48Mp main and 13Mp ultrawide lenses, plus a 13Mp selfie camera. The main sensor might sound like a downgrade compared to the 64Mp one on the Pixel 8a, but a higher megapixel count doesn’t necessarily mean better photos.
Other rumours claim that the Pixel 9a will be equipped with a Tensor G4 chip and will have 8GB of RAM. The battery in the phone will supposedly be 5,000 mAh, but will only support 18W wired charging.
